Justin Bourne & Jay Pidgeon

» Hardcore Noise

Reviewed by Tim Priestley / Submitted 03-10-02 16:52

Label: Short Circuit
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre: Hard House

This first release on Justins new Short Circuit label sees the man himself team up with one of Irelands finest up and coming talents; Jay Pidgeon, with James Lawson on remix duties to produce a rather fine package indeed! The original is everything you would expect from this combination, tough hard house with a driving bassline, interestingly rhythmatic fx building up whilst introducing stabs of the riff towards the break. The riff provides a hard trance aspect to the track, nice and technical without overdoing it, the track peaks just where it should do and it all works a treat on the dancefloor! Enter Mr Lawson, better known for his Edison Factor guise with Matt Williams but is recently making a solo name for himself. James provides a full on hard trance workout complete with a lovely low rolling bassline. This mix complements the original perfectly and offers another angle to the package.
