Andy Farley & Paul Janes / Justin Bourne

» I Can Feel It / Rock the House

Reviewed by Jon Rundell / Submitted 22-01-02 10:34

Label: Vicious Circle
Format: 12" Vinyl
Genre:

I've had this gem a while now and get more and more excited every time I hear it. Hard house stalwarts Farley and Janes team up to create a monster slice of hard techno action. This is one of the most dark, spine chilling tracks I've heard in a while.

Full of uncompromising little sounds that help to enhance the percussive pounding drum patterns and bassline. Then out of nowhere a dark, chilling trancey riff appears and adds a new dimension that will leave you putting the needle back to the beginning and saying "What the hell was that?!" Put simply this is awesome as it kicks off the break and sends you into oblivion.

On the flip, Justin Bourne shows he is more than worthy as a contender for an artist to look out for this year. Although this track remains essentially on the mysterious dark side, the excellent effects that have been added onto the hoover patterns pick up a huge momentum off the break that will leave you breathless.
